Matthew O'Connor

Matthew O'Connor has been the Executive Chef since 2011 with The Rockland Country Club. Prior to that he has been an Executive Chef for big names such as Rochester Marriott, The Green Lantern Inn, Guckenheimer and Red Star. During his professional journey he has also been associated with The InterContinental Hotels Group as well as Harbor Court Hotel. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America specializing in Culinary Arts and Hotel Management. Not only has he attended the Chef to Chef conference in March 2012 in New Orleans, but he also served as Guest Chef at The Westchester Country Club. His achievemnts include; a Gold Medal from The American Culinary Federation Spring Classic, NY and in April 2009 he was Recognized as “Best Young Chef Rotisseur” by Northeast Region Chaine des Rotisseurs. Other than food, cooking and hospitality, his interests include Fishing, wine and Football.
